23 September 2006 - Home Run Derby

Stars: Jason and Diana, Rugburn, Horfun, Clement, Rube, Sandman, DT

Not enough guys today to have a proper game, so we had some batting and fielding practice. 7 in the field, and 1 at bat.

Round 1.
Batter has to hit and run at every bat. As many at bats till 3 outs. Basically a condensed version of our usual game. It was quite fun actually, but tiring.
Each base counts for 1 point. Rugburn scored the highest, hitting for the cycle, and also with about 3 home runs over Jason's head. DT scored the lowest with only one single.

Round 2.
Too much running in first round, so we decided to hit without having to run. Same rule, 3 outs per at bat, but in this case, grounders weren't counted as an out. Only linedrives or flyballs caught.

Round 3.
Batting practice. Hit as much as you want.

All in all, we had a pretty good non-competitve practice session. Everyone got to work on their hitting and fielding. In fact, we probably got more at bats, and fielded balls than in our normal game. We really could've done with extra numbers though. Too bad too many guys were away at the same time.
