DT Rants

New photos updated. Hit the links in the "Pictures" on the bottom right.

I didn't play, so nothing to rant about. The EH pitcher took too goshdarned long to make a single pitch. The only reason why we only played 4 innings was because he took like 10 minutes in between every pitch. He pitched too high as well. If I were the umpire of their games, I would give the team a technical for delay of game, then call every pitch from that guy a ball for "too high", till he wised up and pitched properly.

Meanwhile, the sign is open to interpretation. It did say "Team ball games are not allowed to be played", but it did NOT say "Team ball games are not allowed to be played ON THIS FIELD", for all we know, the sign is meant for the bicycle track (afterall, it IS on a lamp post ON the bicycle track and not on the field". Oh well, hopefully the sun will come out more and heal our hallowed ground at NUS. But I'm guessing "NO" because the Hall tournaments are on, so they will definitely be tearing up the ground.

We really need to find an alternate field. Does anyone living out in the west area have any suggestions? Any PUBLIC, open expanse of field we can play some softball?

Our numbers have really been dwindling. We had all of 14 today, and if not for Lloyd and the ex-montfort guys, we would've been in the double of nothing catagory. We really need to do some serious recruiting. Where's the NTU folks?

Next sat is CNY eve, so no game. We've never been successful trying to play on the third day even when it's a holiday, so no one bothered trying this time.

See you all again on February 4th.

By the way, for those of you who are interested, AND free. There will be a protest rally on Feb 2nd, at 10am at the Registry of Marriages down at 7 Canning Rise (S)179869. Don't worry, everything's been cleared with the Police, and the proper papers and warrants have been prepared. Banners have been made, and we just need to stand at the door and not let Dom in. Do your friend a favour and not let him make the greatest mistake of his life. This is a serious plea.
