DT Rants

Sorry for the late rant. It's been a hectic week. For those of you who are interested, Microsoft released a couple of critical patches for their Windows systems last week. PLEASE install them on your PC.... NOW. look for MS06-001 and MS06-002. For more info, read February's HWM. There is a commentary piece on backdoors and what not (I'm sure Rube would approve of the title)

On to the Rant.
I can't believe I overran the ball. That's like impossible, but somehow it happened. One moment, I see the ball bloop behind second base, I run like crazy, turn around, and when I look up, it's gone missing. Next thing I know, the ball drops right in front of me. It must have been the weeks of no ball.

Rickey's "almost" play at third must have been the most memorable of the day. Rube's on third base, DY up at bat, Rube stands slouched over the baseline, so Rickey warns him... "Becareful, DY hits it right down the li......eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". The scream is because DY hits one right at Rickey's jewels at the same moment. In half a nano second, the ball reaches Rickey before he can finish saying "line", Rickey sticks out his glove to protect his nuts, makes a catch, but drops the ball because he's still moving away from the path of the ball and screaming in a ridiculously high pitch.

It's great to have Cool Papa back. Although everyone seems to be trying to victimise him. Rube smacked a couple down the line, deep, deep down the line, and when he stayed close to the line, Fei would smack the ball up the middle, along Rubane's foul line. Cool Papa may have run his 5k that day.

footnote: Those of you who weren't at Joe's after ball, be prepared for a surprise when you meet The Generalissimo on Sat. His new nickname should be "Mr Expressions" or "Mr Marie France"
