2 January 2006 - Like Pigs rooting in s***

ONES: C: Guppy; 1B: Rickey; 2B: Diana; 3B: Don't-know-his-name; SS: Mr Wong; LF: Rube; CF: The Cheetah; RF: Nigey-pooh; Rover: Shaun
TWOS: P: Gunz; C: Horfun; 1B: Heidi; 2B: Don't-know-his-name 2; 3B: DY; SS: DT; LF: Gil the Gazelle; CF: Cool Papa; RF: Grandpa; Rover: Jason

Game ONE:
ONES: 21
TWOS: 12

Game TWO: (3 Innings)
ONES: 5
TWOS: 10

Man it was muddy. It was nasty on that field. DT was upset that his brand-new pillow bases - a nice maroon - were almost ruined. First base was a nasty, smelly, pig-sty. It stank of manure. It was bad. The first game was dominated by the ONES, while the second was by the TWOS.

NOTES:
1) Nigey-pooh was on fire. The wife sends him out of the house - welcome to married life - and he dominates with the bat. He gave the ONES the early lead, which Rube solidified. 2) Rube shows up late, and proceeds to hit 3 booming homeruns. He also caught a Cool Papa epic homerun in the middle of a soccer game. Amazing catch. 3) DY is back. Good to see him hitting well. 4) Horfun had nice smacks right up the middle. 5) Jason is on the 'roids. His homerun was something the Kitty would have hit 5 years ago. His highlight of the year, and it's only a day old. 6) While they are testing Jason, might as well check Heidi too. 7) Guppy made major league moves behind the plate. 3x he caught someone out on a foul ball in key, game-changing situations. 8) DT is still fuming over a foul ball he hit. He claims it was fair, and we await the rant on that one. 9) Heidi hits ball to Rickey. Ball stops next to 1B, and Rickey tries to pick it up. Ball is stuck in muck, and Heidi is safe. 10) Cool Papa had some rough moments in the field, but his arm held runners and in the second game he hit a game changing triple.

MBP: Nigey-pooh
Biggest Bat: Rube
Play-of-the-Day: Rube (catching Cool Papa's hit)
Golden Glove: Guppy
Hit-of-the-Day: Jason
DY: Has to be DY showing up.
Bonehead Play of the Day: Either Rickey not picking up Heidi's hit in the muck, or Rickey's base-running (does it qualify as base-"running" if he is going so slow?).

1 comment:

  1. The Cheetah was thrown out by Rickey THREE times. and then he was put out another two times by a different pitcher.
