What a great day to start our 2nd annual holiday period tournament. We play 7-inning games. This one was so epic we couldn't play a second one. Everyone was worn out by both the game and heat. This tournament may have to last more than the three scheduled days. The ONES consist of people born in odd-numbered months (January, March...), while the TWOS were born in even-numbered months (Feb, April...).

The ONES almost blew this one. They had 9-run leads in both the 1st (9-0) and 3rd (12-3) and still couldn't get the mercy. The TWOS came roaring back, riding the newly revived Guppy to a number of runs. Now that's it's been brought up, what's with Guppy? He's on the Juice. He made a spectacular DY play on a foul pop and was hitting like never seen before. By the 5th inning it was a 15-15 tie. The TWOS took the lead on a massive Ramadan Dave homer to right field (the field was set up so the right field fence was the walkway where the softdrink machine is). He hit over the roof of the walkway for a 3-run homerun. Rube did it an inning before. By the final inning, the ONES finally took the lead back for the win. Heidi had a great game in LF. She also had key hits, with one shooting down the 1B line.

Best Bat: Guppy
Most Foul Balls: CK
Most Angry at having to chase Foul Balls: Weixiong
Gold Glove: No one stood out
Bonehead play of the day: Letting Rickey play 3B

  2. The ONEs should be renamed "The Odd Months" and the TWOs should be "The Even MOnths"
