DT's Rants

Nothing to Rant about today. Well, maybe the shortfall of numbers from SAS regulars. If the NTU guys didn't show up, we would only have had 10. Hopefully, we'll get some good numbers on Tuesday morning.
Rickey forgot to mention that Fei sold us out and went to play for the NTU team, making some fantastic (typically feiesque) catches.
With Heidi at first, all bad throws were caught, and later when Rickey took first, I spoilt him with good throws...till he got a bad one (not from me) and totally fubbed it.
The ladies did own the game today. And I definitely suffered some paulititis when the NTU ladies came up to bat for the first couple of innings. Our ladies did well too, with Diana making some good stops, and Heidi catching everything chucked at her from the Generalissimo and myself. Horfun was great at the plate as well, and she's definitely getting good improvement on her skills. Of course, not forgetting the NTU ladies making their men carry their gloves out for them... :D
To elaborate on the Generalissimo fake (I am watching the tape in slo-motion now...I'll make a clip for download). Runners on one and two. Ball is hit to the General and he gets the ball, steps on third and makes the throw to first to try for the double play. Batter is safe, but Spider steals third on his throw, Heidi returns the ball to try to get Spider out, too late. The General then makes the buenoest fake throw to first and Spider is caught trying to make it home. In one smooth motion, the General turns, and tags Spider for the third out, making it a 5-3-5/fake3-5 double play. Awesome.
It was great to see Marvelous and the Sandman come out, but we're still missing quite a number of our regulars... Where's Prof Zen, and Indiana, and the Tan Family. And strangest of all, the Rube went missing...

PS. forgot to mention, when Diana was modeling for my video shoot, she was knocking the ball OUT OF THE PARK. Easily home run type hits, great contact, fabulous power. Standing about 2 meters from the fence, she could actually smack the ball over the fence, past the trees and deep into the carpark. One of the best swings I've seen.... THEN...the game started....

Prof Zen is in Canada and will be leaving us in Sept. We're hoping it's not a permanent move. *sob*-- Horfun
