Gaddafi says hello...

Dean Hooker was the man who made the greatest defensive play in Saturdaysoftball Tournament History. The year was 2001 and we were playing in the Inter-Faculty Softball Finals. The score was tied at the top of the 9th with runners on base. The batter hit a hard ground ball up the 3rd base line. Dean grabbed it barehanded and fired a rocket to 1st to end the inning. Least you say it was a pretty standard play, it wasn't. Even the Generalissimo would've had to had used his glove, so hard was the ball hit, and he made the play smoother than Arod.
Anyway, Dean was posted out of the country (He works for the State Dept) soon after the tournament. We just received an email from him from Libya with the above picture.

Hello Guys
I was one of your periodicals on Saturday during the years 1999 to 2001. The blog is great I feel honored to be included. Wishing all of you a great Christmas and a Prosperous New Year and Chinese New Year too.
I'm currently in Tripoli, Libya. I hope one day to get back to Singapore and play a couple of games. Included a picture of myself in the Libyan desert.

Dean Hooker
