7 October 2006 - Bizzaro World

ONES: 1B: Indiana/Rube; 2B: Geok/Sandman; SS: DT/Rugburn; LF: Rugburn/DT; CF: Sandman/Geok; RF: Rube/Indiana
TWOS: 1B: Rickey; 2B: The Mick; SS: Horfun/Clement; LF: Clement/Horfun; CF: Swiss Miss; RF: Heidi

ONES: 6
TWOS 13

We played - and if you don't understand you haven't played Saturday softball recently - Indiana/Prof. Zen rules with opposite batting. The haze was really bad (the PSI was probably over 100), and there were cricketeers and frisbee-ers out in the field. So we batted opposite our normal side of the plate. No need to run around too much in the muck. The TWOS did well because they had three players who swing both ways (The Mick, Singapore Clement [not the French one], and Heidi), while the ONES only had Sandman. That's basically the story of the game.

1) It was Swiss Miss' last official game. He may be able to play when he's back through town later this month, but he's off to Java and Bali for now. A great "playa", he even makes the Rube appreciate the French. He'll be missed; 2) Most of the swings were embarassing today; 3) The ONES switched their outfield and infield half-way through the game; 4) The Mick had some good homers during the game. The only one really hitting for power; 5) Rickey was pathetic on fielding the swinging bunts.

MBP: The Mick
Best Bat: The Mick
Worst Swing: Rickey
