25 February 2006 - My kingdom for some players....

We had beautiful weather, the field of choice empty, and too few players showing up. If you didn't come you missed a great opportunity. We played "Rube Rules" - with the cones making CF dead - and two players played in the field all time.

ONES: 1B: Heidi; 2B: Horfun; 3B: Rickey; RF: Prof. Zen (Andy); LF: Grandpa
TWOS: 1B: Guppy; 2B: Diana; 3B: Sandman; RF: Jason
All Time SS: DT
Game One Grandpa played all time LF
Game Two Rickey played all time 3B; Sandman played LF for TWOS.

GAME ONE (5 Inning Mercy)
ONES: 3
TWOS: 13

GAME TWO (5 Innings):
ONES: 11
TWOS 4

NOTES:
1) Jason was on fire in Game One. He must have scored 6 runs. He also had a perfect hit along the cones; 2) Diana plays some tough 2B on a number of plays, snags a Rickey line-drive; 3) DT played through some serious back pain; 4) Prof Zen had a good, quiet, all-around game. Same for Sandman; 5) When Grandpa came in to bat in Game Two, he was amazing. He fired up the ONES, and led them to victory; 6) Guppy can't pitch to save his life; 7) MBP comes down to Jason or Grandpa. Both played really well, but did drop some fly balls at critical times.

MBP: Grandpa
Biggest Bat: Jason
Gold Glove: Diana
DY: DT

SPECIAL NOTE: Prof Zen is having a going away party at Ft. Canning (the black box?) on Saturday after ball. Entrance fee is a photograph (of anything).
