1 October 2005 - Sandman wakes up

ONES: 1B: Heidi; 2B: Diana; 3B: Rickey; OF: Cool Papa, Sandman, Jason
TWOS: 1B: Seven; 2B: Soo-ey; 3B: Jesson; OF: The Say Hey Kid, Spider, Weixiong
All-time SS: Nomar

Game One:
ONES: 10
TWOS: 7

Game Two (5 innings):
ONES: 4
TWOS: 5

The Sandman got back from one his quick trips to the Great White North, and he brought back some game. It was old school Sandman out in CF. He had some spectacular catches to rob the Say Hey Kid and Spider, and some clutch hits. With Cool Papa and Sandman in the outfield, it was hard for the TWOS to get anything to go for more than a single. In the second game, the ONES were clearly tired (nice excuse), wanted to head to Joes for Oktoberfest, and the Say Hey Kid hit two homers. Beyond that, typical SAS games.

NOTES:
1) Spider - once again - had one of his running errors. But, this one ended with Diana slapping in the head with the glove for the tag. That will teach him. 2) Fei nailed some guys (and kept others from advancing) with really nice throws. 3) Seven had a spectacular hit down the rightfield line for a homer. 4) Nomar was having trouble with his release. 5) Heidi had some nice scoops on a couple of Rickey throws (weren't his fault, of course). 6) Jason finally had one his nice hits get through. He ran for a triple, and even listened to the base coach. 7) Rickey got caught in a rundown between 1B and 2B. Out-jukes Spider and Soo-ey, stumbles back to 1B. Needs Oxygen
